Pee To Get Paid Or Pay To Get Pee
Do you like this story?
The "First Human Urine Bank in Nepal" in Siddhipur near Kathmandu is selling human urine at the rate of Rs.1 per liter. Farmers are encouraged to buy and use human urine to improve the fertility of the soil and obtain higher agricultural yields.
Similarly, in Chitwan, a toilet revolution is taking place. Sewa Nepal, a local NGO is offering people money to use their toilet. You get paid 1 rupee for peeing in their toilet. They convert the collected urine into fertilizers for the villagers around.
Is urine import/export going to be the next big business venture in Nepal?
